At Arlington Funeral Services, our team is more than just staff — we are a group of caring individuals who believe in supporting families with dignity, compassion and respect. Every person who walks through our doors deserves to feel listened to, reassured and gently guided, and it is our honour to provide that care during life’s most difficult moments.

Each member of our team brings experience, empathy and a deep commitment to serving the local community. Here is a little more about the people you may meet when you visit Arlington.

Tracey Boulton

Owner & Co-Founder

Tracey has been at the heart of Arlington Funeral Services since the very beginning. She co-founded the funeral home alongside her husband, the late Stephen Boulton, who lovingly renovated and restored the former library building in 2001. After Stephen sadly passed away in 2019, Tracey made it her purpose to continue his legacy of service and personal care.

Tracey understands how important it is to provide a safe and calm environment where families feel comfortable to ask questions and express their wishes. She listens carefully to each family and ensures that every aspect of care is handled with dignity and respect.

Her guiding principle remains simple:
every family deserves the time, compassion and support to say goodbye in their own way.

Tracey continues to lead Arlington with warmth, professionalism and unwavering dedication to those who place their trust in us.

David Podmore

Funeral Director

With over 25 years of experience serving families across Longton, Fenton and Smallthorne, David is a well-respected and trusted Funeral Director in the local area. He is known for his calm nature, clear guidance and ability to bring comfort during difficult times.

David believes that every family’s wishes are unique, and he takes time to listen and understand what is most important to them. His experience ensures that all arrangements are made smoothly and sensitively, giving families the space to grieve and remember their loved one.

At Arlington, David continues the standard of care for which we have long been known — always respectful, always personal, and always with the family at the centre of every decision.

Malcolm Yates

Senior Care & Preparation

Malcolm joined Arlington in 2003 after a lifelong friendship with Stephen Boulton. His natural empathy and strong attention to detail quickly made him an invaluable member of the team.

Malcolm is particularly known for the care he provides when preparing loved ones for the Chapel of Rest. He recognises how important it is for families to see their loved one at peace, and he gently ensures that each person is presented with dignity and sensitivity. Families often express comfort and relief after seeing their loved one in Malcolm’s care — a reflection of his quiet professionalism and compassionate nature.

For Malcolm, helping families is not a job — it is a privilege. His dedication leaves a lasting impression on those he meets.
