I went to say goodbye to a dear friend today, was met by Tracy such a lovely lady with a soft soothing comforting voice and manner. My friend had suffered before her passing due to cancer which had taken its toll on her beautiful self, but Tracy had restored Jeanette's beautiful face and she looked so peaceful and simply looked like she was sleeping so lovely to see. There are not enough words to express our heartfelt gratitude to David Podmore and all the staff at Arlington Funeral Services based in Smallthorne. Losing our much loved Dad, Husband, Grandad has been a very difficult and heartbreaking time of our lives, which was made so much easier through David’s compassion, empathy and professionalism throughout. Bringing us so much comfort and reassurance that Dad was in safe hands, keeping us informed every step throughout, from explaining the process, guidance and recommendations for the venue (wake), catering services, flowers and funeral celebrant and aftercare. David went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and also exceeded to ensure Dad had the most fitting and much deserved send off personalised to dad’s wishes, every attention detail was implemented throughout from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. From a young age, Dad was a massive Stoke City supporter, which David acknowledged and to our amazement, Dad’s hearse was Stoke City Badges on Stoke City Crest and Quote ‘ Forever a Stoke City Supporter’ has Dad made his final journey from his home in Fenpark to his beloved Stoke City Stadium, with time to spend there before continuing to Carmountside to Celebrate Dad’s Wonderful Life. Arlington have been amazing once again its the third time in 2 years unfortunately.
